Community Education for Development (CED) is a fully certified 501 ( c ) 3 and is registered in the state of Ohio. The organization is funded by grants received from various sources and for each program area. Additionally, CED has a volunteer board of 5 members and has a CEO. The CEO of CED is also the founder of the organization. While the CEO oversees all aspects of the organization, the CEO and Board meet regularly either online or in person to discuss the running of the programs, voting on board members and deciding on the leadership and structure of the programs CED is running. The Board is appointed by the full Board and CEO and is renewed every 2 years. There is no time limit for Board members. The finances are managed by an independent accounting firm. Tax receipts are provided for all granters, if requested.
The leadership for CED are local to the Fayette, Ohio, area and consultants are hired as needed from the Fulton County health and wellness boards and community organizations.

Operational budgets are developed for each program area that is operational. These are organized and approved by the Board. Every program operates using donations or grant money. Whatever is raised goes directly to the program area for which the money was given.
DeMarco and Associates, Certified Public Accountants assist in preparing the annual 990 for tax compliance purposes.

Board reviews are conducted annually by the Founder.

Sub-committees are organized by the Board for the various program areas. These sub-committees meet as needed and report to the Board to request approval for various expenses and/or for changes to the operations or funding of a project.
